Situation

  • Launch of Samsung’s second gaming PC with a limited budget.

  • Market dominated by ASUS/MSI; Samsung needed instant credibility with gamers.

Challenge

  • Compete as a latecomer in a brand-loyal segment.

  • Showcase cooling system as USP without dry specs.

  • Deliver a cinematic trailer despite budget and CG limits.

Action

  • Framed cooling as a knight’s shield → symbol of endurance/trust.

  • Used blue to express reliability, contrast old models, and signal “super cooling.”

  • Mixed live-action + cost-efficient CG for impact under budget.

  • Built narrative as a movie trailer, positioning PC as a gamer’s trusted ally.

Result

  • Hit 4.41M YouTube views, exceeding targets.

  • Boosted USP recognition and gave Samsung gaming credibility.

  • Praised as a globally adaptable execution.


Samsung Odyssey Z is the second gaming PC from Samsung. A first promotional film, which delivered impressive moment a knight summons a dragon went successful in the states and Brazil’s gaming PC market and our goal was how we can create storytelling with those two main characters while emphasizing strong cooling function of the product.
